The Markson Connection - 8/8/2009

Looking back, it would be an understatement to say that I feel very fortunate indeed to have had such an amazingly successful and fulfilling career.  There were the failure years, of course, but after ameliorating the thoughts and actions that created my  failures, I was fortunate enough to build a large, successful, high volume, multi-doctor chiropractic practice, Markson Management Services, The Masters Circle and The Cabin Experience (I am still very much infatuated and in love with this magical Personal Freedom Retreat).

But now come a time in my life where my dream comes true – something completely different, unique and intimate – with a special selected group of chiropractors.  It is called, "The Markson Connection” and it is my belief that the following Vision Statement will provide you with the entire foundational concept of this new creation.

“To gather and inspire a tribe of select chiropractors, empowering them to make life changing decisions that create lives of significance – abundant and overflowing with intention, passion, happiness and success!”

So now, for me, it is not about the complex and gigantic size of past ventures – rather The Markson Connection is smaller, simpler, more powerful, more synergistic and more exclusive – clearly not for everyone.  But for those chiropractors who have a conscious desire or compelling vision and what to live beyond their present circumstances – then you would be the type of professional that we would invite to become part of our tribe.

Yes, my decision, in coordination with my two new partners, Drs. Brett Axelrod and Rick Markson, is to surround ourselves with a special group of like-minded DC’s who have already achieved success, but are now looking to play a bigger role in positively influencing others. Additionally, I am thrilled to report that Dr. Guy Riekeman, current President of Life University will be “of Counsel” to The Markson Connection and will participate in all tribal gatherings (we call them Expressions which means communications of thoughts and feelings).

Isn’t that exciting? It is to me. To live a life of significance – which doesn’t mean to just get by – to survive or have some monetary success or achievement.  It is to be bigger than who you are right now – desirous of growing from the inside-out!

Perhaps that means to expand your practice and make it more dynamic and reputation driven. Or maybe you want to open multiple offices, have your own consulting business, become a college president, a political leader, a recognized expert and speaker. Possibly it means to be an author or an artist or an accomplished athlete or musician – whatever your dream is – as long as you are making a larger contribution to humanity.
